About Us
Pleasant Hill Preschool is a ministry of Steele Creek Presbyterian Church at Pleasant Hill. Our mission is to communicate God's love to children by providing an environment that encourages each child to grow spiritually, socially, cognitively, physically, and emotionally. We follow a theme-based curriculum which incorporates centers, math, science, handwriting, music, dance, art, and dramatic play. Our preschool program is built on activities designed to encourage social, emotional, academic, and physical development. Children will learn how to participate in groups, how to cooperate, and how to share. They are guided towards greater independence, creativity, and responsibility in all areas of life.
At Pleasant Hill we strive to challenge creativity, encourage curiosity, and build friendships among children, families, communitites, and God. We offer weekly Music and PlayBall classes, and Chapel Time for our two, three, and four year old classes. Snack and lunch are provided from home except for Thursdays when the preschool provides pizza for lunch. We offer small class sizes and have two teachers in every classroom. Some of our fun yearly activites include our costume parade, Thanksgiving feast, Christmas program, pancakes and pajama day, fall and spring pictures, and our end of the year celebration.
2023-2024 Calendar
Our school year runs from September through May and we use the calendars of Charlotte and Clover School Districts as a guide for our holidays, workdays, and closings due to inclement weather. Our preschool hours are 9:00am- 12:30pm for our toddler classes and 9:00am- 1:00pm for all other classes.
